Telenet Japan, Coporate Homepage - A quick glance at Telenet's current offerings makes it painfully obvious that they are no longer the prolific software publisher they once were.
Telenet Japan: Main Catalog Index - Telenet took the time to include every platform they published software for in this index. I don't know if the game listings are complete, but it certainly seems to be.
Here are the areas of the catalog I find most interesting:
- Personal Computer (PC) Titles (i.e. X6800, MSX, PC-6000, PC-88, PC-98, FM-Town, FM-7, X1, etc.)
- ALL PC TITLES - This is a long list, sorry.
- The Official Art of Valis, Original Sketches! - The original "Valis Fantasm Soldier" was released for PC-88, PC-98, MSX, X-1 and FM-77. Many years later, it was re-formulated as a PCE CD title.
- XZR - Ported to PCE CD as "Exile".
- XZR 2 (MSX, PC-98) cover art - Re-titled "Exile 2" when ported to PC-Engine CD.
- Final Zone FZ Zenki Axis (X68000) - This is the original installment of Final Zone, which was ported to Mega Drive (Genesis). The sequel, Final Zone II, remained exclusive to PCE CD (and the storyline made references to the first game).
- PC-Engine titles only
- Mega Drive titles only
- Super Famicom titles only
NOTE: This is a beta page, offering raw info only. It's a place-holder until something nicer is created.
Can you find this info elsewhere, and in English? Sure, but it's nice to see these companies take the time to document and preserve their history (i.e. that is, their back-catalog).
